What can I say, the staff were great, the room view was a 10 out 10, the food was excellent. When we booked this hotel, my wife and I had no idea how great the hotel would turn out to be. We booked it because the rate was good and the hotel was in the out skirts of the town. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, the staff made sure we had an great stay at the hotel. We will definitely be back and staying there.
Very reasonable price for area, and spectacular view of Sorrento bay and Mount Vesuvius. Very useful free shuttle bus to Sorrento with extremely friendly and helpful driver. Reception staff very helpful, especially the night porter, a truly lovely man that could not do enough for us. The only negatives are the mediocre breakfast, the hard pillows and the bathroom could have been cleaner on arrival. Would certainly recommend this hotel for a stay in the area. We would return.
What a fantastic experience our stay was. Views were breathtaking, and the pool was unmatched. Food was top-notch including breakfast.
The hotel was so accommodating and helped us with different activities we wanted to partake in and has a helpful shuttle service into the heart of Sorrento.
Now what takes this hotel over the edge is the staff - INCREDIBLE. So so so nice, so so so helpful. The best service I’ve experienced at a hotel honestly. I had a minor medical issue and within minutes they had a Dr calling to help me out and organizing a pharmacy visit.
I will 100% return to this hotel, lounging in that pool overlooking Sorrento and having a view of Mt Vesuvius, feeling comfortable and safe. Just fantastic.
Very nice location 15 min drive from downtown Sorrento, free shuttle is available super convenient, if you missed it you can also take a bus right out side the hotel.
Pool - great with amazing view.
Breakfast - it's ok but need to approve more vegetables.
Parking - free.
Staff - helpful and very nice people ❤️
Hotel and room - outdated need to do a small investment in new furniture, art and colors would take this hotel to the next level.
This was one of the worst hotels I have stayed out but I also didn't have that much to choose from as we booked our holiday a month prior to going. Let's start from the day we arrived... Amelia lacked a welcoming smile and right away we knew we were going to have a bad experience. We stayed at 5 different hotels during our road trip through Italy and this was the ONLY one to charge an additional 45EUR/per night for our son who sleeps in the same bed. Minutes after getting through the check-in process, we learned that they charged 2.00EUR/kilowatt to charge our Tesla!!! The average in Italy is 0.75cents/kilowatt... so they def rip you off. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice, especially the shower. Next up is the swimming pool.... there aren't enough chairs to accommodate the guests, around the pool it is green and the type of guests this place attracts don't seem to have the proper education to take their towel with them when they leave. We saw chairs go unused for 2 - 3 plus hours while people went out for lunch and the hotel does nothing about it. Lastly, the breakfast buffet is gross, the tables are not set so we have to collect our own tableware (which I noticed there are ants all over when I collected them from the drawers). The staff in the buffet area is unprofessional - I've watched them roll their eyes at guests after they ask for something, gossip about guests, stand around and sip tea.
Overall, it was an unpleasant experience for us but we typically stay in higher end hotels but weren't left with much choice.
We had our wedding ceremony here and wow what a wonderful day that was. They contributed to making this the "best day of my life"
It was perfect in every way thanks to the detailed organisation they have from the Director to the Metre, waiter etc...
Super friendly, always willing to help with a smile even at 10pm after being on their feet all day. It was truly amazing, I am so glad we chose this hotel, the views are to die for, we were blessed with wonderful weather which honestly made it all perfect. Thank you Mario for the fantastic job.
I will certainly recommend this hotel to anyone vising the area or celebrating any special event. Very well done to every member of staff.
Thank you❤️
We enjoyed a week's stay at the due Golfi in late September. As others have stated, the staff at all levels are incredibly willing and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The accommodation was what you'd expect of a 4-star hotel and the location is perfect for a relaxing holiday. Views from the pool deck are spectacular. The shuttle bus to Sorrento was readily available during our stay although it could run more frequently. The small town of Sant'Agata is a 600m walk to shops, restaurants (and a laundromat) although there is no sidewalk for the first 200m along the winding road - not something to try after dark. Taxi's are expensive, have the front desk book them to get the best rates. If you want to take the ferry to other towns in the area, be warned that the shuttle drops you a good 20-30 minute walk from the port - look for the lift (ascensore) to avoid long staircases. A taxi costs around €25. Book ferries, rental cars early because they sell out fast.
👎 Disappointing Experience at a Supposed 4-Star Hotel 👎
Our recent stay at this hotel was quite disappointing, and I feel compelled to share our experience. The check-in process was far from welcoming - no smiles or warm greetings to make us feel appreciated as guests.
One of the most shocking aspects was the exorbitant price of using the EV charger. While the average price in Italy is 0.75ct/Kwh, this hotel charged a staggering 2€/Kwh. To charge our car with an 80Kwh battery capacity, we would have to pay a whopping 160€. Luckily, we stopped at 73€ … At the average Italian price, we would have to pay 60€! To put this into perspective, back home in France, we can fully charge our car for just 9€. The pricing policy at this hotel feels unjust and exploitative. If you would like to charge your car while visiting Sorrento, you should stop at very convenient parking in the center of the city : (Via degli Aranci 25 - 80067 Sorrento, Italy). The price is 0,75ct/Kwh …
Moreover, the service left much to be desired. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked any enthusiasm or customer-centric attitude. It felt like they had no interest in making our stay enjoyable.
The state of the pool was appalling - it had a green tinge, indicating a lack of proper cleaning and maintenance. This does not meet the standard one would expect from a 4 stars establishment.
The quality of the food served at the hotel was extremely disappointing, and borderline disgusting. It seemed like the kitchen served only basic and unappetizing dishes.
Adding to our woes, the hotel chose to host a loud and late-night wedding event without any consideration for the other guests who had paid full price for a relaxing holiday. The lack of available parking spaces for paying guests during the event was frustrating.
During breakfast, we were dismayed to witness employees gossiping and rolling their eyes when guests made simple requests. This unprofessional behavior reflects poorly on the hotel's staff training and management.
The lack of enough chairs by the pool for guests and the misuse of chairs by reserving them all day with towels added to the growing list of grievances. When we brought up the issue to the lobby, the staff directed us to confront the poolside guests ourselves, which was not our responsibility. We did mention it but no change had been made.
All in all, our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing, and we would strongly advise potential guests to reconsider their choice. We hope this feedback helps the management address the numerous shortcomings and improve their services for future guests.
Considering all these issues, it's difficult to classify this hotel as a 4-star property; it falls more in line with a low 3-star rating at best.
